Spv-540 Relieving roller pressure after plot and overnight

We are getting some plotter run off and the idea of keeping pressure on the rollers came up . We might be getting 1/2 the life from leaving vinyl w/ rollers engaged overnight might be a factor? IE springs/rollers ect add the big ? mark above that <,

leaving them engaged and not rolling can result in a flat spot that could potentially throw off your print-to-cut registration. If mine aren't cutting, the rollers are always up.
