Squares ain't square in X4

When I make a square on my screen it's looks taller than wide on my moniter. The prints and cutting are fine. For example: I make a square, measure it on the moniter: 3" across x 3 1/4" tall. Is this in my monitor settings or something I can do in Corel?

resolution problem...

You're not using a native resolution for you monitor.

Try calibrating the rulers.

Punch it up in the help menu, it'll tell you how to do it.
