Being a grandpa is more fun than working
Win 7 seems to have everybody's ire up with the icons not staying put on the desktop. I have several dozen shortcuts and icons on the desktop, and every time I log in, they're always moving about. I tried every quick fix suggested...short of messing with the registry...to no avail.
I found this web site http://www.stardock.com/products/fences/ and did some thorough checking of reviews.
For only $10, this app allows you to categorize icons and desktop shortcuts in their own little windows (fences). There's a transparency feature that allows each fence to have 100% opacity all the way to 100% transparency.
100% awesome...EVERYTHING stays put. My only complaint is that it should be a standard feature on Windows.
