Stay with Onyx or move to PrintFactory - Or other suggestions

Our workflow is 3 flatbeds, 2 colex conveyors and 3 graphtec tables. Currently on Onyx Thrive. We design in Illustrator but there are some hiccups and we have been looking at PrintFactory. They just came back with pricing and being that we have flatbed, it is a bit pricey. wondering what others use and if there are better ways to go. maybe tips and tricks to avoid having to go to printfactory.
We gang up orders, we do have double sided printing and matching up the sides - with variable data can be "fun". also inserting that variable data in the first place. ...

We moved to print factory from onyx and never looked back. We're were struggling with double sided, cut files, adding white is easier, you can move the reg marks to wherever you want etc.

We moved from Onyx to Caldera.
I was never a fan of Caldera as I was use to the Onyx system of things. Onyx was so bad i gave it a go and honestly never looked back. Took some time to learn as with any software but it's never crashed, I never need to restart anything. The PC just sits on and restarts for any updates needed.
