UCJV300-160
Hello - I've been searching for a while for a parameter setting on my UCJV300-160 that would either
1) Keep ALL of the UV lights on the machine on during all parts of print
Or
2) Keep ONLY the first zone of UV lights on during all parts of print
The issue is, when a print begins, the first zone (front half of each UV light) turns on, and after about 2inches, the second zone (back half of each UV light) kicks on.
I have my settings extremely dialed in for super smooth gloss ink, comparable or better than some Mimaki flatbed or similar Roland machine embossed gloss prints (for the first inch or two, at least). But I am unable to get it consistent across the entire print because the addition of the second set of lights cures the ink slightly faster than the first alone. I'm being nitpicky, but I've felt this way for long enough that I know it's not something I'll just get over, lol.
There HAS to be a parameter or setting telling the machine to turn on the second set of lights at a certain point, there has to be a way to do this short of covering the back lights with black duct tape..
If anybody can figure this out with me I'd gladly exchange some info on dialing in clear gloss ink on UCJVs.
Thanks a ton. I know I've spoken about this in other threads, but figure it could use its own thread because this specific question is buried in replies.
