Styrene Rolls

Neila Printing

New Member
I used to be able to readily get rolls of styrene but they have been harder to come by. Looking specifically for 020, does anyone know a vendor still carrying them?

nope, sorry....but on the sales/data sheet it says "We provide Prime DIGI-HIPS in sheet or roll stock and are capable of holding extremely tight tolerances by either square cutting or slitting."

Not sure where you're located but we get ours from Laird Plastics in Utah. I know not all locations carry it but I'm sure you could have them bring some in.

What printer are you using? Our laird branch wasn't confident the rolls they have will work on the latex

Latex could be tricky to print on styrene. We print with traditional UV and UV Gel on our Colorado.

Arial - it's almost helvetica

Does it bubble up? That is always our issue with really thin styrene. We have a roll of 020 but cant remember where we got it from.

I've never had a Latex printer so I'm not sure. I know styrene is more sensitive to heat so latex could be tough due to the amount of heat that has to be generated with Latex.

We fight it on UV. Don't know anything about latex except that it's a constant money grab.

We have a variable vacuum on our UV so we adjust as needed.
On our Colorado, we sometimes have to have an edge card holding it down because it tends to buckle on what side. But it's not heat related. Just the way it comes off the roll.
