Summa d75 needs correct setting ???

I've been trying for a month to correctly adjust my Summa d75.
I tried calling Summa to no avail. I emailed also.
There's no instructions.
When cutting pieces, it spools out about 34 inches more than necessary.

This is fine when I got a big roll in, but I can't use the last 6 feet of vinyl.
It's adding up. I need a competent solution. The sooner the better.
