I purchased a SummaSign D610 to attempt to create pounce patterns for traditional sign techniques. I had this communicating to my new Mac running ****** by connecting the serial cable to a serial to usb convertor with FTDI driver by Tripplite. https://www.tripplite.com/keyspan-usb-c-to-serial-adapter-db9-high-speed~USA19HSC. I also use EasyCut Pro https://www.easycutstudio.com and was converting designs to outlines before using the rhinestone effect to make a hack to try and create a pounce design. This was working until I upgraded my OS to Big Sur and the driver stopped working for the USB adaptor. Since then I have purchased a pounce pen rather than a blade from https://edwardmathias.com and Tripplite released an update for the driver so I could get the cable to work with BigSur. The problem I have now is the software finds the cable and sends the data but the Summa does not respond, I have no idea if it's now receiving the data. The Summa works and does test cuts and all the menus work and I can load paper I just cant get the data sent across. I did it once! and it made a pounce pattern perfectly but suddenly decided after sending multiple designs which failed to cut, to stop responding entirely. I have bought a new serial cable, restarted the summa and Mac, disconnected and reconnected the cables. Used another Mac with an older operating system with the same set up but nothing makes the Summa move! I'm lost as what to try next to make it operate. Other than going down a PC route but as I had it working only days ago its very frustrating.
Any suggestions welcome thank you.
