Tabletop Decals

Hello,
We are looking to try out some vinyl for table top decals. Does anyone have experience with table top promotional signage? I am thinking the vinyl needs to be fairly aggressive, but the client has expressed that they would like to remove after 2-3 months without adhesive being left behind. Thanks in advance!

If printing use removable adhesive and floor laminate or regular lam.

I use regular vinyl and lam for this kind of jobs. But for 2-3 months, I don't lam them. I've done few desk and conference tables like this.

It is funny you mentioned floor lam. That is exactly what I was thinking of using.

I will run some tests with a removable adhesive vinyl and floor lam and see if we think that will work. Thanks for the input!

Todd at All Square has 24" x 40' 5 mil textured floor lam .... ( I use it) their brand and it is nice stuff for the money and you don't have to buy a ton. There are some great suppliers here at 101.....use them.

Been using 3751 with no lam for tradeshow tabletops. It even sticks to carpet and will last a while. Carpet graphic was a new deal for us.

I agree laminate with floor laminate.

We do a ton of these for the Liquor distributors. Temporary (1 to 6 months) Oracal 3165 RA, Intermediate (6 months to 1 year) Oracal 3165 RA with 210 Gloss over lam. If the client wants a non gloss finish, I like Lexjet's Performance Textured Polypropylene. Extended (1 to 3 years or longer) Oracal 3165 RA with Lexjet 5 mil DisplayGuard polyester textured lam.

Most of the Extended use products are for restaurants and the like. Those products get applied to Melamine faced MDO, routed to shape then edged with a capped T moulding to protect the edge of the graphic from getting peeled up.

The Temporary and Intermediate products get applied directly to existing table tops (clean, clean, clean) and trimmed on site. With a few exemptions, these hold up very well and resist edge lift.

what about oracal 3268 repositionable material. the lam isn't critical no need to spend extra money on floor lam. you can use gloss or if you are worried about abuse any textured lam will work. nazdar also has a similar material they sell but it's a poly material so you don't get the stretching or curling you might get with the vinyl material.
