To all the fantastic people who replied to my thread about my graphtec, thank you so much it was, and is, really appreciated.

Like many of you said it was the HP GL and after talking to graphtec who were also very helpful i managed to sort the problem. apparently signlab has a habit of resetting cutters when your back is turned and your not looking.
