Bear with me, I am asking for a little help after finding this forum site from a Google Search.
I am knowledgable in temporary traffic control and have my CCB. I am looking to shore up a missing service in my area.
I do not make signs. I only want to install them on temporary sign supports. A few companys do not want to install and only make or sell them. I spoke with our transportation jurisdiction sign team for the approved specs and drawing. Fully understand them. That doesnt get me to the hard work of installing.
Looking to gain wisdom on
1. What preffered anchor equipments is needed
2. Recommended install equipment
3. Best practices (ie. Calling locates, when to install on sidewalk concrete v edge of roadway)
4. Recommended wood 4x4 or steel
My company has been around for a respectable time and we are independent. We have learned a lot by doing and certainly paid our stupid tax in learning.
If anyone has install indtructions or tips, with out revealing your trade secrets, I would appreciate it.
Our jurisdiction team cannot "instruct" our private company how to install, due to liability.
