UK Based - HP800W Printers and Cut

Hi guys,

We currently have 2x HP 800W Printers and for Cutters we have 1x Summa D160 and 1x Graphtec FC8600.
We don't use the Graphtec for print and cut due to the way our Technician set up at the beginning of our learning curve that the HP printer and Summa cutter was seamless.

Now we are in a position to buy a new cutter but we would like it to have the same barcode when we print for the D160 to allow us 2 machines to cut from the same barcode settings printed.
giving us the chance if our original summa is in use then we can just simply put on the new summa and allow us to cut here instead?

Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

We have done this before, just recently in fact. The customer has Onyx, a Summa S2TC160, a Canon Printer and just purchased a Summa S3TC160. We set it up so Onyx outputs the cut files for both cutters to a folder on his NAS. Then setup Summa GoSIGN to scan that NAS folder for the barcode job. This way that customer can switch back and forth between cutters as needed.

How do you like the D160/any Summa product compared to Graphtec?

I've been using the graphtec FC8600-160 and have found it to be kinda quirky and not that straight-forward and the interface is outdated to say the least.
