using print server?

I am running Window's7 home addition and like to run my Cj 500 with it,, but the problem is my Window's7 is a 64bit operating system, and the printer is 32bit. If I have to I will upgrade to Window's7 Professional vs. I read someplace that I could also use a print server to excess the printer with Window's7.
Any comment on this please??
