Good afternoon!
We have a 1800BG printer that we use to print ADA signs. Lately we’ve been having issues with the ink peeling off the ADA characters. We’re based in central Florida, and for this particular project the signs are mounted in an open corridor — so they get the full force of the Florida heat (even without direct sunlight). We also have other installations that are in direct sun, and those are peeling too.
Has anyone else experienced their ink peeling on ADA signs? If so, what was the cause and how did you resolve it (surface prep, primers, curing settings, materials, etc.)?
Any insights would be really appreciated!
