Melamine

For most UV ink sets - Melamine is a no-go. Lack of surface tension for inks to adhere to. Only machine/ink combo I can think that might be successful would be a Durst Rho 600 or newer. Don't think there is any great new ink set coming from the major ink boys to address this - but you never know. Go to SGIA and ask everyone.

we where working with nazdar on flatbed printers and we where looking at the raster
(rastek) and they showed us some good samples i think your best bet is to go to the demo with them and bring some samples of material you can print on and have them show your what they do and the profiles because there are a lot of variables
