UV LEC-540 or UCJV300?

Hi!

Ive been running my trusty Roland VS-540 for the past 3 years but really need to be able to print white base on clear vinyl so have been thinking about changing up.

As with anything like this you get conflicting reviews and i cant make a decision.

Has anyone got any experience with both who could help advise me? I have a sales call about this tomorrow and feel abit un-prepared.

I only print and laminate stickers.

Thanks Steve

We have a UCJV330. Have had it for about 1.5 years and it has been a great machine. Only thing I don't like is that your ink can expire and the machine will require it to be replaced before it will continue printing. So, as the ink has an expiration date, don't buy it too far ahead.

Great resolution, fast printing, this UV ink machine produces stickers that can go direct to lamination and/or cutting. We use ours to produce decals in large quantities. We have made decals on clear with a color layer, a white layer, a black layer, a white layer, and a color layer for things like decals for glass doors to be read on both sides. Machine will ask you to shake up the white ink every day - once a week is fine. But try to print some white at least once per week and run a soft clean at least once per week.

At the current price, a UCJV300 would be hard to beat.

I've had a UCJV330 for about as long as singheremd. Inks you typically have about 8 months to use them. Never had any issue with running into expiring ink yet.
The white is nice and thick, it covers up pretty darn good for applications like you want.

In the before times, ( c1993) the only unit that would print white/color layered prints was called a Gerber Edge!.....or you needed a guy named Hans, who could setup several silkscreens! :)
