UV-printing on TVF Biscayne Wall Covering

I am trying to print on the TVF Biscayne wall covering (https://www.tvfinc.com/product/biscayne-wallcovering/) with a Canon Colorado M-series. I have played with the vacuum settings, but the material is not lying flat, probably because it has a felt-like backer that is not designed to lie flat on the platen.

I am using the tension bar and the highest head height, but I keep having carriage crashes.

Has anyone successfully printed on this with a Canon Colorado? If so, how?

I have a call in to Canon's help desk, and they're trying to help as well. I'll update the thread with what I find. TVF has been spectacularly unhelpful, and, even though their website says the material is "UV-printable," they haven't been able to give any direction on how to print it, or even if it is possible.

It's not lying flat even when not feeding, although it doesn't look like a damaged roll. It just looks like the vacuum isn't having much of an effect.
maybe the roll is wound up wrong, too tight or uneven tension. I've had banner and canvas do this before. The solution was to rewind the rolls. Run the entire roll through the printer to rewind, this will release any tension in the material.
