Valujet Scuffing

I've noticed scuffing/scratching easily on vinyl and banner material printed on the valujet- especially black heavy coverage. I've played with the temps without much success. I ran a mutoh before but had the luxury of the settings being made by my sales person and didn't have these sorts of issues with it.

Other than heat the only things that are going to affect ink adherence is the ink you're using and the material. Are you using OEM or aftermarket ink? You might be using a profile that lays down too much ink as well. Play around with different profiles with different resolutions and see if that helps.

It's oem ink. I'll see if different resolutions help. The profiles valujet has are for materials just through their site, and I'm using cousin materials through a preferred vendor, so I can understand that messing things up!

Pigment has to enter the vynil. If you put too much pigment you will get more saturated colours but the pigment will be on the surface and will scrach easily or will make marks when warping.

Limit ink, or use statochastic "trama" (dont know in english), and if you still need so saturated colours, put a delay between passes (3-5 seconds)
