Versaworks crop marks outside of versaworks

Can anyone tell me how I can get versa works crop marks on an illustrator artboard outside of versa works to send to a third party? almost like how summa has a plugin for illustrator for their crop marks?

My printer is down and I need to be able to print stuff via a 3rd party and lam/cut it in my shop.

Any help would be appreciated- Rolands support is not great by any means.

If you’re trying to send it to a Roland cutter, you get the Roland plug in for illustrator. If you’re sending it to other cutters, you use their plug-in in illustrator.

I have a GR540 and I have tried to get the attachment which seems to be able to be downloaded through adobe exchange and am having a hard time downloading it or making sense of it. Every time I log in to adobe exchange the page says it does not exist then Adobe Exchange won't let me install it if I can even get there. On latest version of OS. None of this makes sense. Literally just had a support email from Roland that said I can download the file from VW, but that makes absolutely no sense. If you have any other information or help I would be grateful. In a pickle and need to be able to do this.

The setup or .exe file will not work on my MAC for whatever reason. I tried to install it and then when I try to get the AI plugin for Mac from adobe exchange it says my access is restricted for my user type. this has been driving me bonkers and when I contacted Roland direct they said there was no other way I could do this. if you can send me the ai installer file I would be grateful! because I would love to be able to add my crop marks to these jobs for the time being.

Can you show an example what the crop marks look like? And if after the crop marks are made, are they on a specific layer name, specific colors etc.

D fleming, that's not the point. a 5-6 thousand dollar cutter should be able to have a plug in like summa like the other manufacturers so that I can add crop marks to any piece of artwork. Not being able to do that renders the OPOS function useless. I have tried to download the file from adobe exchange with no luck. I would love to be able to use this so I could save just a little bit of money from third parties until my new machine is here, but alas, no.
