Versaworks RIP taking 10x longer

Anybody know why Versaworks would suddenly be taking so much longer to RIP than it used to? Used to be lightning fast. Thought maybe the computer was struggling because it's always on standby and rarely shut down, but shutting it down for a few days didn't help either. Any help appreciated.

Is it the ripping or the transferring to the printer? My onyx starting transferring the files real slow to one of my printers and
it was due to the settings on the ethernet card. If it is the ripping, check to make sure your hard drive isn't almost full and/or
you may need to do a scandisc & defrag.

Check hard drive space on the drive VW is installed, it needs room to work. If you don't really have much in the way of custom settings in VW, running "initialize application" from the start menu->roland versaworks will reset it to pretty much the same point as uninstall-reinstall.

Thanks for the suggestions. The disk is defragmented, it does that every week. The hard drive is only 8% full. I only use it to run the printer as I do everything else on Macs. Any other ideas?

You never said your Windows version, but this blackviper site can super optimize/streamline Windows:

You could also try taking windows back to a previous restore point.

Then there is this suggestion:
