VG2-540 White Ink Cartridge Switched with Cleaning Cartridge

Hi I have a VG2-540 that is setup with white ink. Is there a way to switch out the White Ink Cartridge with a Cleaning Cartridge? I’ll still keep the ink configuration the same so when I do need to go back to the white ink all I would have to do is flush the ink line out manually and refill the white ink.

If so what Cleaning Cartridge should I buy (TR2-CL or TR2-CL2) that I can keep in the machine and still be able to print the other colors?

Won’t the machine know that the white ink cartridge isn’t installed when I have a cleaning cartridge installed?

Would I need to bypass the TR2 Ink Chip or is a Cleaning Cartridge suitable to leave in the White Ink Cartridge Slot Permanently?

You can do this if you want.
it is a TR-CL that you would use. The question is when it comes time to put the white ink how are you going to get the white back into the system properly.
you’ll have to run a couple of Fill Damper Cycles to do it properly.
You can do it, but you’re going to be wasting a lot of the other 3 channels as well…to do so….
it would be advisable to just leave the white in the printer and have it go to waste or switch the ink in the printer to something you really are going to use. The white is a not very opaque and it is rarely used in solvent printing.

Im not sure, that the printer lets you do this with the missing chip in the cleaning cartridge.
