VG540 Horizontal lines

Having this trouble with my Vg540 giving me horizontal lines.

Im printing on Avery MPI 1105 using the matching icc profile. Have tryed multiple colour settings with the same result.

Ill attach a nozzle check and a calibration test. In the calibration test you will see it was on +0.20% originally but the prints i will show the problem on are after changing the feed to 0% with no difference to the problem.

Please keep in mind i am a 24hr drive away from my closest technician and it costs me thousands just to get them here so im despirately after any help i can get.

Im have also done the TR2 ink upgrade.

Thanks.

We have the same machine and when we switched over to the TR2 it does print slower and had the same banding on some material. My suggestion would be to try a different one with generic profiles and see if you still get it. We use Arlon now and haven't had any issues.

I might give the arlon a try next time around. Are you using a range of their sluff ? cast and poly ? and using a generic profile with the arlon stuff?

Which ICC profiles are you using?
Ive had a VF2-640 for about 6 months and I had terrible banding with my blacks. After 4 visits (some all day long) from my certified Roland service company, who replaced heads, pumps, and dampers, we found that it was the "Roland DGA profiles" in the media type causing the problem. My machine was so new, that they had not added new ICC profiles for 3m, Avery, etc yet. We changed it to generic and problem went away. Since last week, they did add Arlon profiles but Im still waiting on 3m profiles.

Check in Versaworks - Queue settings under general, is it the profile or printer that is controlling the feed settings?
Modify this to use printer settings and repeat your prints using different calibrations values.

I have gotten it a little better then the pictures after a lot of trial and error but still definitely have some noticable banding. I ended up with generic vinyl 1 as my best option but still far from happy with the result. Im going to try a different product for my next roll and compare results.

I have it set on the printer controlling the feed. I have played with this before and it does give me a change in results but it never actually gets me where i need to be.
