Vinyl Backed Acrylic with tape

Hi all,

I've seen lots of jobs recently with clear acrylic and a vinyl backer. It looks great for interior signs, but I'm curious about mounting methods. Does anyone use tape to mount these succesfully without shrinkage or the tape sucking the vinyl? And what tape / vinyl / lam combinations do you use?

Use a permanent clear... If you use a removable it'll bubble under the tape. We do it all the time using 8518 and vhb tape. For the white we use any true cast white... Usually 7725, but it's not a blockout so you can see shadows. So we use an Aslan blockout which isn't a cast, but it's worked for us

Yep. We've done hundreds that way. Just use a decent white permanent vinyl and w decent laminate and you'll be fine. Just stay away from removable
