Need Help vinyl express r-seriesII

I am new to this machine I have figured out the basics but I wanted to make some iron ons and the vinyl is a little thicker do not understand how to make knife cut through it help me please

When you are cutting and the 'online' button is green you should be able to press arrow keys to change speed (up/down) and pressure (left/right)....i think thats what all that type of cutter use.
