VJ 1204 can't open port

I have always use an ethernet cable to run my 1204, Everything is hooked up through my RIP. Wifi has nothing to do with it.

wifi would have a lot to do with it, if that is how the system gets it's ip range
some device "hands them out" and for 35 years, it has amazed me that cable companies can sell a service THEY KNOW LESS THAN NOTHING ABOUT
they send in a new modem/router to a business and don't know enough to set the ip range to match what is there now
