VP-300 stopping and starting causing banding

Running a big job, 300 MB. 6 panels. Every 25-30 passes (once over once back) the machine stops on th far side, goes back to the right, stops clicks and starts again. First couple that did it were ok, now it's showing banding where it's starting, lass as it goes down but then it stops again. Using a wireless connection as my ethernet doesn't port doesn't work.
