VP540 Sheet Cut Blade Getting Stuck?

Hi there! I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on a problem we're having. When loading material, it seems as though the sheet cut blade assembly drops to a lower than normal position, causing a big media crunch up and a motor error. I'm not sure what's causing the assembly to drop - any ideas?
