Wall Wrap Products

What are some of your favorite wall products & print/lam combos that could give me some other options for customers?
They don't necessarily have to have lamination. We have Colorados and can print in Matte mode for the softer finish.

We typically do wall wraps with Ij180cv3 & Matte Lamination. We like this product since we get a really nice consistent finish and never have to worry about failure or adhesion issues. We can also easily wrap over anything like vents, covers and door frames if needed.

We've also used a couple rolls of Continental Grafix Naturewalk and General Formulations Graphitex. These both offer a slightly different finish and sheen without lamination, but we can't wrap over anything since they don't conform well. They are more finicky to install, especially with more intricate panel lineups since they don't stretch at all. We've also seen issues where the ink rubs off when installing if there are little raised nicks on the wall, even when using our Colorado Ink (which is really durable), and felt edge squeegees.

We have used Graphitex and several equivalents, but mostly use Oracal 3551 with their 210 semi-gloss lam. The finish is almost matte.
That is for interior walls. Exterior we use 215 lam

I'm a big fan of Arlon SLX with satin laminate. Arlon's satin is very consistent, 3270 for anything needing conform-ability or exterior, 3420 for simple flat installs. SLX prints nice on my latex and costs less than ij180.

I've used a little of the SLX. I wasn't really a fan of it but we've only used it on vehicles. The post heating seemed extreme to have to do it everywhere. No post heating for walls right?

While recommended, I usually do the seems and edges for interior.
Doesn't 3m recommend post heat as well?

We only post heat known problem areas and parts that we stretch with 3M.

Try Drytac's Retac wall films. 6mils thick with no stretch. Microsphere removable adhesive .....if the wall was primed and painted, you can take this stuff down years later and it won't hurt the wall. Available in Smooth, Canvas, Linen, and Sand. On the Colorado, no need to laminate due to scratch and chemical resistance. only around $450/roll for 54x150'. Stocked in Las Vegas. If you want a test roll, let me know and they just ask for your UPS or FedEx number to cover the nominal shipping fees. This stuff is a slam dunk. Less than half the cost of cast products, thicker (hides more wall imperfections) and easier to install. If the wall was just painted, then put some Shieldz Wall Size primer up first and then apply.

I love this stuff off the Colorado and my customers burn through it.
