What is the proper cleaning approach to wash unlaminated solvent prints?
Two years ago I printed some window wraps without any lamination for a customer on our mimaki jv3-160sp, on arlon perf.
They lasted great, up until this past weekend, when he washed them with water and dawn. He said they've faded a lot. He also said the bird crap did a number on a few spots. He understands that he declined the lamination, etc, there are no issues there.
But I'm still wondering what to say when clients ask me about washing solvent prints.
I'm not too concerned about window wraps, I'm pretty sure I'm never doing another unlaminated window wrap again . But I'm a little concerned about these streetlight banners that we're printing on sunbrella vivitex. Obviously canvas can't be laminated.
