What hat heat press to get?

Bryce I

Our shop does a lot of screen printing and a bit of heat transfer. For the heat transfer we have a proper t-shirt press and a couple Crickut DIY machines. For hats we have a Crickut hat press. As that part of the business grows, we've been getting larger hat orders, and more clients asking about faux embroidered decals. We'd like to step up our ability to execute those jobs. Investing in a better hat press than the $100 DIY setup is good, but price range on professional hat presses is so wide. Anybody have insights on the different kinds, or recommendations for specific one? Any stories or insights welcome!

I think that most people are going to tell you go with the Stahls dual heat if you have the budget.

We have 2 Geo Knights, 2 Hotronix and the dual heat Stahls and we actually use the Geo Knight 99% of the time. It's not fancy and has some issues but that's generally what my employees like.

360IQ from Stahls. There are cheaper knock off versions out there but we have an old stahls heat press that is 20+ years old and still works just fine. We have also been runnign the dual air press from them for 8 years and have had no issues.
