Are you using that 1640 much? What is your experience with it so far?

No, I don't use it much. Truthfully it's kind of a pain in the ass. The way it works with setting up medias in Onyx is annoying and not user friendly. It is not a simple printer to operate imo and I've been through a lot of printers. You're probably aware of its limitations with adhesive vinyls (from what I've heard this is fixed on their 1650 but I'll believe it when I see it). I am mainly using it for paper, banner, and I might try PET film on it. I think the print quality on those media is very good compared to other UV printers, but really we only bought it because it was a steal at a going out of business auction of a sign shop 5 min from us and we thought it might come in handy for some of the large wallpaper projects we do. I think one of the main selling points is the speed compared to other 64" printers, which is fair. It is fast, but not compared to our 3200.

1640 is junk compared to the 1650.
Also comparing a 3200 wide vs a 1600 wide is apples and oranges.
