I have been printing on a Colorspan 5465 flatbed and bought it right before HP bought them out and am now looking to up grade. I had decided that I was going to buy the Gerber Ion flatbed but they discontinued their flatbed printer sales and production so I am leaning toward the HP FB500. I can get the Gerber for about 40k cheaper.....however, I just dont feel like they are going to live up to their end of the deal by providing service for this printer for the next 5 years. If you were in my shoes, what would you do? 40k is alot of money but a printer with limited parts and service 2 - 3 years down the road does me no good either. Any comments will be taken with appreciation.
