Why is clip and tile so annoying?

Maybe I just can't grasp its subtle usefulness but versaworks clip and tile pains me greatly...

Yeah I understand it is just trying to help and it was designed by people much smarter than me....but for example I've got 20 signs on one file and for some reason I can't move a slider how I want it to go without making up a size for my material and rotating and getting it just right.

Why can't I just tell it to print what I want and let the chips fall where they may..
If I try to print something thats 100 inches its my own damn fault if it doesn't work..

Try nesting individual files instead of nesting them in your design application. More control in the RIP that way.

the designer is overworked as it is (and not used to digital)...much easier for her to put them all in one file...its really never that bad for me to get it to work like I say just frustrated
but I'll start hinting at it
