Wiggly Test Print

Hi,
My mimaki jfx 200 2513 ex printer was working fine yesterday but today the test print shows up like this. I did air purge, used the maintenance liquid to clean, and did a nozzle wash. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Check head height, might be too high.

The head height is not too high. We have checked the head height and head gap which is 1.5 mm. We have done hard cleaning, and emptied waste tank, as well as nozzle wash and air purge.

Check your head for signs of damage then, might be a dented nozzle plate with all those deflections. Also, clean the nozzle plate thoroughly with a texwipe and run a couple of cleaning cycles. Make sure to use light pressure and a fresh area of the wipe with every swipe so you're not grinding gunk into the nozzle plate.

We did all of that. Maybe it is a dented nozzle plate. How does that happen and how can we tell if it is that? We also noticed when doing a nozzle wash that the maintenance liquid does not overflow on cyan magenta head (which is the head that is having issues) . We clamped the tube above the drain pump and it started to overflow instead of just passing through, then removed the clamp and the maintenance liquid stayed. Do you think its the nozzle plate or the pump or something in the tube?

Best bet is grab a light and carefully inspect the nozzle plate for signs of damage.
