Will a downloaded driver with PScript

my hp laserjet 4mv with postscript needs a roller,assembly door which i am unable to locate needed parts but i have decided to purchase a hp laserjet 5000 that does not come with post script.

my question is,will a downloaded driver with post script run with this hp laserjet 5000 or has any one done this

If it does it won't take advantage of PostScript because that has to be present in the firmware of the printer.
