wrong head is installed

I installed new head "yellow " in my RS 640
after save the serial number in "head rank "
machine doesn't work it' show error message "wrong head is installed "
not- i bought this head from roland home
i check the serial two time it was correct
also replace with another head but same problem
i removed the all cable cards for all heads and i removed the carriage board but the message still
machien work without problem only in service menu
please i wait your help

try it with the old head rank

Make sure you have the print head wires to the motherboard going the wright way. If you have them in backwards that is the message you get. If you look at the mother board the contacks are towards the rear of the machine. Hope this helps

Hi! I think you bought the Water based or Aqueous print head instead eco-solvent/solvent print head instead. If that is the case you can use it in service mode but not user mode...look at pictures white is water based print head and black is eco-solvent print head
