Question XR640 dropout - possible head?

We were having banding issues and did a number of cleanings on our XR640. The attached is the latest test print. Is this a damaged head issue or is there another possibility?

Looks like a head strike on both heads. What does the bottom gold foil look like? Any big scratches through both of them?

No noticeable scratches, but I believe there may have been a head strike a couple days ago. Am I looking at new heads on this?

check your dampers, probably the ink is cloted inside.

How old are the cap tops? Need replacement every 6-12 months

That is what the test print looked like for my printer when the head was due for replacement. The head was past projected life span for me.

Are you getting overspray? I had that too and was told it has to do the the head misfiring.

Head replacement fixed the overspray and banding.
