Besides Flexi. What other design software works well with the I1? I want to be able to measure a single color from any type of material and place it in the artwork. I currently have Onyx Rip, Illustrator,Photshop, Freehand.

Your version of the i1Pro Spectrophotometer should be supported by Onyx and i1Share. Either of those programs should allow you to take a spot measurement and define the color in LAB color space. Once you've got the LAB value, you can create a swatch of that color in Illustrator, Photoshop, Flexi, and a host of others.
