  1. I am so SICK of this problem!!! (lettering not sticking to painted walls)

We stopped using 631 and started using 651. Works just as well for long term applications. Most walls are Semi or Satin and removes fine. Flat walls not so much.
  2. Looking for a wholesale printer for a 15 oz lay flat blockout material

You can contact NVA Signs in VA. They wholesale print for quite a few customers throughout the US. sales@nvasigns.com
  3. Upselling quotes (good/better/best)

We grow at 25% per year on average. How we have done this is no advertising, word of mouth only. That said, I quote what they ask, exactly as they ask it. When I write the email to send the PDF quote, I simply advise there is a better way to make the sign, explain it, and price it. Usually, the...
  4. Aluminum with Cut Vinyl Clear Coated

I wouldn't clear over cut vinyl myself. I would rather print and laminate vinyl and apply to the substrate. That said, if I wanted it long term I would use 3169 not cheap vinyl. Alternately, you can direct print and spray clear. I have done this before for outdoor signs and they hold up really well.
  5. Curved Carved HDU

If this was directed at me, the front was routed/CNCd and then the back was cut after - by sitting in a jig to hold it. The whole job was sketchy to be honest but it worked.
  6. Material Suggestions for Wall Mount Sign

We were contacted by a customer to replace a wall mounted (stone wall) sign here in Northern VA. The current sign looks to be 1/2" HDU painted and screwed (doesn't appear to be glued) to OSB. There are 1/4" thick letters attached to the sign and some vinyl items on it. Everything is faded so I...
  7. Curved Carved HDU

I did one a few years ago, we had 3 sheets of HDU glued together and routed the curve. The sign is still installed on the brick wall without issue. It was a VERY expensive project though even that long ago.
  8. Installing a 4x6ft wood sign

Here in VA we go 24" to 30" deep, depending on the height of the sign. It sounds like it will be relatively low to the ground. If you feel the need, use sonotubes, but a hole with concrete will suffice. This is just my opinion.
