  1. L25500 and graphtec FC8000 - cutting too "short"

We have fixed this issue successfully with a combination of higher quality vinyl and using the straightness optimization feature in the firmware. Flawless cuts most of the time now. I love this machine.
  2. Full coverage frosting, large window

got it sorted well. thanks folks. applied 2" of premask to the perimeter to prevent stretching and went wet with no problem.
  3. Full coverage frosting, large window

Thanks guys. We'll get this sorted. Hi MGraphics - I appreciate the friendliness. Marc's great to work with.
  4. Full coverage frosting, large window

I haven't tried to premask this, I've been attempting the install wet. getting the backing paper off and getting the 8' high panel to the window without creasing it or stretching it where we're holding onto it is the issue. Once this is wet and on the window I'm sure this won't be a problem.
  5. Full coverage frosting, large window

While I appreciate the advice to install wet, I've tried installing wet and am looking for a deeper level of advice. Regarding those nice panels in the office, there is no frame around those windows and they're not full coverage. I could install what I see in those photos no problem. We've...
  6. Full coverage frosting, large window

this is one solid piece of frosting with no graphics on it at all. Complete window coverage.
  7. Full coverage frosting, large window

Hey guys, I'm at a loss. We just completed a massive office install of 24", 18" and 6" stripes and we have one piece left to go - the boardroom windows. We have two windows that require full coverage - 49.5" by 91" in size. If course there's a nice 2" deep frame around that window. We're...
  8. Wet installed laminated perf - customer unhappy

Problem solved. I sent the photos to the installer and he fortunately stood up to the plate and agreed it looked horrible. I'll replace the panels and he'll do the install. Relationship remains good, which is important. Lots of jerks out there in this business!
  9. Wet installed laminated perf - customer unhappy

I appreciate that this should have been competed dry, but it wasn't and I'm on the hook for a replacement set of panels in the event that we can't get this sorted as it was installed... Ideas...
  10. Wet installed laminated perf - customer unhappy

Hey guys, I've spent some time searching with no luck... I outsourced an installation to another city for some window perf that was installed wet. The perf is laminated and the customer is very unhappy that after four days there is still a lot of water behind the laminate, causing it to...
  11. Layered decal assembly question...

You guys once again rock. Thanks a ton. I'm so much more in the digital world that I can't see the forest through the trees when it comes to cut vinyl!
  12. Layered decal assembly question...

Just wondering how to assemble these decals - black is apparently on top of these (the funky part is holographic vinyl). Thanks guys! (Using a graphtec FC8000.)
  13. HP L25500 ink question

I have done this with no problems.
  14. Making decals with multi colors of cut vinyl

Now you're rockin' with that registration. Also, I have an L25500 - I just want to do these in cut vinyl and learn another skill in the process. Sometimes having the awesome printer makes your mind a bit lazy. Thanks for the input!
  15. Making decals with multi colors of cut vinyl

Ok, I've been at this sign thing for a couple of years and I've amazingly never had to deal with decals where the customer wants cut vinyl lettering for his logo in two colours. For example, he wants 50 stickers with the first word in white and the rest in a different color, 10 of each...
