It all falls into place once you know what is motivating the client..
Once you find out what is motivating him you know the key to selling him something. The idea is to take his true motivation and pump it until it becomes a sticking point. And since you are the only one to recognize his challenge you are the only one around that can fix it by selling him some item. Then you can charge a higher price for it.
