  1. Mimaki CG CG-160FX cutoof blade.

Where do you find your cutoff blades? I have searched all over for them and cannot find one. Mine got destroyed when I cut some high intensity reflective and forgot to turn off the cutoff. Starting to get tired of feeding vinyl out to cut it off with my knife and feeding it back.
  2. Favorite Quote from a Customer Today

I had to bump this one with the old: "My wife is an artist, she can help design the sign." Glad to have the help! :banghead:
  3. cg160 fx wont cut laminate

Are you setting your blade depth any deeper for the laminate or leaving it the same as with the vinyl?
  4. Hello from just outside Kansas City

Welcome from WY. Kansas City is one of my favorite places because two of my favorite things are there. The Chiefs and Boulevard Beer. Would love to make it to a Chiefs game there sometime, closest I can get from here is in Denver.
  5. Omega Composer dimension tool

I have 2.61. When I select the dimension tool a toolbar shows up at the top of the screen with a few boxes and buttons. The first box adjusts the text size and the second box adjusts the arrow size.
  6. Periodic Table of Typefaces

I found this to be pretty neat and fairly helpful. I'm gonna have to print this out at some point and hang it in my office. Doesn't have everything I would like on it, but it's still pretty effective. http://www.behance.net/Gallery/Periodic-Table-of-Typefaces/193759 Thought this would be a...
  7. Hello from Wild & Windy Wyoming

Welcome to the site. Always nice to see another Wyomin around. I'm in Worland, and I know there's a couple others here from Gillette. The only good thing about Worland is we don't get the wind like the rest of the state does. This is definitely the site to be at if you want to learn from the...

  9. plotter is going off course

I have trouble with my Mimaki CG-160 FX if I let the rollers and blade get too close to the edge of the roll. I've had mine get off by as much as 1.5 inches over 16'. When I do have to make long cuts I keep the outer rollers at least 1" from the edges 1.5" if possible. That usually solves any...
  10. 25 Random Facts About YOU!

Okay, I'll bite. 1. The love of my life is my 19 month old son. He has gotten me through some hard times. 2. I am trying to sell my house in another city and for the past 4 months have been living in my mother-in-law's basement. (Contact me if you may be interested in the house...I'm...
  11. Have you seen GIMP

I've used GIMP quite a bit. What I like is GimPhoto. It's an add-on for GIMP to make it more like the Photoshop interface. If you're use to PS then it makes using GiMP a much easier transistion. There is also GIMPShop, which does the same thing, but GimPhoto seems to work better. My brother...
  12. Hello from Wyoming

Thanks for the warm welcome. Nice to see another Wyomin' here. When I moved here to Worland from Rapid City people back there would always have to point out how windy it could get in this state. I always told them "Worland isn't that windy, Gillette is where all the wind is at." I'm sure...
  13. Hello from Wyoming

Just 4 months ago I never even thought about a career in sign making, and as of 3 days ago I am now managing a sign shop. I moved here 4 months ago, the job I had lined up (as a masonry laborer) fell through. So I got a job here at a sign shop. Then my manager (just two of us here full time)...
