  1. With a heavy heart!!

Oh wow. I rarely get on S101 anymore, and happened to pop in today. I'm so sad to hear about Fred's passing. I was fortunate enough to have had lunch with Fred and Connie many years back. He was a genuinely kind and generous man. My condolences to his family and friends.
  2. 20th Anniversary Logo

Fantastic, thank you. I'll see what I can come up with along this route! :)
  3. 20th Anniversary Logo

They don't want to use a badge, as they want to I like that idea...
  4. 20th Anniversary Logo

I have tried talking them into changing the Algerian font for the last 4 years. They seem stuck on it for some reason. If I get enough "professional" opinions to this point, I will approach them again with the idea. I may just change it and show them... "get with the modern times" will me by...
  5. 20th Anniversary Logo

The logo get's used on a lot of smaller items, and on shirts & hats. I'm afraid the Anniversary portion would get lost and lose quality as it gets smaller!
  6. 20th Anniversary Logo

So, customer trying to save some $$ sent me their own "design" of their logo incorporated into a 20th Anniversary format. I have a couple formats, but I just don't know why this is so tough to come up with something. Their main logo is ROUND, so the design needs to work around that. Has anyone...
  7. Speaking of stupid...... here's a stupid one......................

A number of years back, I was using business cards for around 3 years with our city spelled wrong! Instead of "Calgary", I had put "Caglary"! I guess no one ever really paid attention to it, or they skimmed over it quickly and assumed it was right. One day, a friend who I handed my card to...
  8. Suggestions photo sites to buy large files

I use a site 123rf.com They offer large images and custom sizing. Not sure if they will go as large as you want, but worth a look maybe? :)
  9. Imageclub10!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow... I feel so left out. Maybe he doesn't call on us Canadians. We're probably too polite!;)
  10. Substrate shelf

I hear ya Gino... I've already got things "stacked"... I know it will only get worse... but hey, at least I won't have the warped stuff any more LOL!!
  11. Substrate shelf

Decided it was time to (finally) build myself a way to store my substrates FLAT! It may not be pretty, but it works!
  12. Suggestions Anyone know where i can purchase a used Edge Fx Foil printer and Plotter?

I'd question your supplier for the new price he's quoting. See attached... this was from 2009, and I can't see the prices going UP so much in 7 years... they'd go down some if anything. My package included the enVision 375 cutter and a bunch of supplies. Pays to shop around! :thumb:
  13. Sending Large Files to a Printing Company.

Most of us (printing companies) use Dropbox or similar to accept large files. Depending on what it is you're after (offset print, digital print, wide format print, etc...), we like to receive high res PDF file(s) for production. A properly saved PDF file can be very useful for most production...
  14. New aluminum big sqeegee= wow!

Just ordered a 38" aluminum. I've always been a huge fan of the Big Squeegee (as Dale knows), and I'm looking forward to trying out this new model. Thanks Dale!
  15. Except or Accept?

I would accept this if it were correct, except it isn't! :Big Laugh
