Okey, I'm sorry but I just don't understand what you are saying. I work in Flexi Pro. Before I import into VW I have to apply a contour cut. I don't lay down cut lines. Is laying down cut lines the same thing as applying a contour cut?
Bump again. Really want to know if you apply the contour cut in a particular way - Will the Roland cut it the way that you apply the contour cut instead of running all over the media.
I've alway just lasood the whole thing when appling the contour cut.
I think it is put on with adhesive. I use a piece of nylon string about 1.5 feet long. Slide it behind the decal and then saw it off using the string as a saw. It never damages the finish. You'll still need to remove the left over adhesive.
It is my understanding that you have to be certified to do aircraft applications. I checked it out a couple of years ago and discovered that only certian types of vinyl are used in aircraft applications. At that time the only source that I could find for the vinyl was 3M. 3M will not sell you...
I thought about printed floor graphics, but I'm certain that I won't be able to get the same sense of realism. Also, I want to show off my painting ability, not that I am interested in using it in a commercial way any more.
I was thinking that the clear coat is the best way to go also. It...
My printers are in a dedicated print room. I am going to paint the floor. I am thinking of doing something unusual with it, like putting the printers on shelves of rock that are jutting up from a deep abyss.
What I am interested in knowing is if I can cover the paint with a clear laminate...
Years ago, when I was young and stupid, I had a shop across the street from a bank. One day a Brinks truck pulled into the parking lot of the bank and started unloading money onto a two wheel cart. My office window faced the bank and the door to my office was open out into my parking lot on...
I was selling advertising for a newpaper magizine publisher. Client says, "I don't need an ad this week, but I've got some parking signs on the light poles outside that need to be painted. Do you think you can do it?" I took a look and said yes I'll do them for $150.00. That was 1971 or 72...
I use to live in an ultra conservitive community up north. An adult theater called me to repair their pylon sign. Some of my ultra conservitive customers saw me repairing the sign and threatened to not give me any more work. I was young, it scared me and I stayed away from working for...
I sell them for $32.00 each s/f, for 1 or for 100. I don't sell signs. I sell advertising.
I print them and use them to advertise my own business services. Everytime I put them out I get all kinds of calls asking how much they cost. I give them the price and there is a long silence and...
I hate to say it, but what this industry really needs to keep a high level of integrity is the creation of some kind of certification board. Maybe something like they use for welders or some other skilled labor certification element.
It could start right here. We could all start a real...
I just use transfer fluid and do it by eye on the substrate. I trust my eyes. My eyes know where it is suppose to go. But, then again, I am an old brush man. Back in the day you just took a grease pencil and laid it out.
