  1. Need Help Printers for Sale

Their profile says Carson, CA, but no idea if that is where the shop is as well.
  2. Mimaki CJV150 Head Issue

Might be worth swapping out the capping station and making sure to perform the adjustment.
  3. UCJV330 Won't print properly on the 1600mm wide media

As weird as it sounds, check your encoder strip, could be a bit of lint, fuzz, ink or something. Seen it a few times and anywhere past the contamination will start printing all broken and fuzzy.
  4. Need Help Printers for Sale

Been so many JFX200s as of late, I might have to get a bigger shop to rebuild them.
  5. Question Is Mimaki UJV 100-160plus worth it comparing it to UCJV330?

Pullback prints on the UCJV300/330 are great sellers, lets us do clear material with art on both sides and color in middle. Don't think the UJV100 can do that.
  6. US Tariffs, Sigh!

Will the tunnels have full level 6 self-driving so they can make the canals autonomously?
  7. TX Need new print heads for HP FB700

Just running a Mimaki JFX200EX for now.
  8. Manufacturer Issue with CJV150/160. Handling Suggestions Please

To be fair, it's an Epson head, but yeah, not a ton that can be done out of warranty. Not a terribly hard swap, but the parts are expensive. Done some board repairs and such, but I am far from an in-house Mimaki tech. If the head is shot, it'll blow the slider fuses to protect it and the driver...
  9. JFX200 2513EX - Magenta missing from head 1

Mimaki head assemblies have a weird issue I have run into where the tubing in the assembly flares out and lets air in. It's an easy fix after dealing with the pain of removing the head and subtank, I just flush the head with some isopropyl alcohol and use some UV Tygon tubing to replace all the...
  10. UCJV330 Pull Back Printing (Multi Layer printing)

Yes, the yellow tint is normal. It will get darker over time (uncured) depending on how the ink is stored or how far out of date it is.
  11. Question Is Mimaki UJV 100-160plus worth it comparing it to UCJV330?

The UJV100 is a printer that was just skipped. If they had a UJV330, that would be a great option for those of us who didn't want another slow AF vinyl cutter and the expense thereof. However, I wouldn't hold my breath too long.
  12. JFX200 2513EX - Magenta missing from head 1

Just a forum nerd who works on a lot of Mimaki printers.
  13. JFX200 2513EX - Magenta missing from head 1

I clean the capping station, then do a light clean before wiping the cap down again with a white cloth to see what colors there are.
  14. JFX200 2513EX - Magenta missing from head 1

Run a clean and look at the capping station to see if you have magenta being pulled through the nozzles. Also not a bad idea to follow your ink lines and look for possible damage or disconnections.
  15. JFX200 2513EX - Magenta missing from head 1

How's your air purge look, any ink coming out?
  16. JFX200 2513 EX - Primary pump

Could have ink getting into vacuum lines and crossing there. Get photos of top of head area.
  17. JFX200 2513 EX - Primary pump

If you pull hard on air ports, you might pull in ink from the nozzles. If you do it gently, it's more likely you'll just do it through the subtank. If tank isn't filling, it could be a lack of air vacuum. Check the clear lines attached to the subtanks for signs of ink getting in them.
  18. JFX200 2513 EX - Primary pump

If it's a white pump, make sure to turn off the main power switch. Nothing more fun than a circulation cycle starting mid-replacement.
  19. JFX200 2513 EX - Head 1 - Magenta nozzles

The JFX200 EX is typically routed with CMYK on 2 heads, 1 Magenta on each head. The third offset head being usually used for white, clear and sometimes [shudder] primer. Now, the older JFX200 is just 2 heads instead of 3. Each head has a dedicated subtank and it'd be weird for you to have an...
  20. JFX200 2513 EX - Head 1 - Magenta nozzles

It's all injection molded into a sealed assembly unfortunately.
