  1. new Mimaki CJV 200

Meet the i3200-U1 HD, the 8 channel version of the UV i3200. Also aqueous and solvent versions of these heads in 8 channel.
  2. Mimaki CJV150 Print issue (blur)

Might be a MAPS setting issue or the head is using incorrect firing data. Seen this happen when someone bought a cheap replacement head and used the parameter chip from the old head to save a few bucks.
  3. new Mimaki CJV 200

The 330 series uses the weird i3200 head assemblies that Mimaki wants $5k for, but it uses 2 of them.
  4. Mimaki CJV150 Print issue (blur)

Check your media compensation and bidirectional settings?
  5. Where do I sell a printhead?

I see it on eBay, just not a super common head. Price is great compared to other listings but tends to be a slow sale.
  6. TS100-1600 printhead

Only a $2200 head for those, and not used on a lot of printers. Lots of sublimation printers are using i3200 heads now for newer machines with aqueous/sublimation inks. Short of DIYers, most people want ones with some kind of DOA warranty, or they just get heads through their techs/OEMs...
  7. new Mimaki CJV 200

    Working on it.
  8. Mimaki JV150-130 Missing Nozzles

I am based out of OKC, tends to be a pretty quick job. Best bet tends to be Digiprint heads, definitely get the one with the chip (chip has nozzle parameters programmed into it, specific to that head). Also good to change dampers and capping station if not changed already. Can either offer...
  9. looking for a high end UV printing company

UV printing is a really broad thing. Looking for small objects, big objects, textured prints, braille, etc? Wanting to do the prints yourself and looking for a machine, or looking to outsource?
  10. Sub Tank Overfilling on UJF-6042 MKII

Might need to recalibrate the throttle valve, also a chance an air fitting got loosened up.
  11. Third party DX4 printheads

If you get the prime shipped ones that are fulfilled by amazon, slightly better chance. But yeah, cheap for a reason.
  12. Mimaki ujf-3042hg inks

Not familiar with any vendors in Nairobi unfortunately, but they do list 2 dealers there on their website. https://mimaki.com/distributors/ However, might be worthwhile asking for aftermarket ink, as it tends to be a much better deal.
  13. Businessing is Hard

I worked in auto parts for a while to force myself to be social, helped a lot. I think most things are skills, albeit some harder to learn than others. But, we had a sales rep that everyone loved, guy came by once a year and seemed to remember everyone and would literally pick up a conversation...
  14. ISO wholesale exterior floor graphic printer ASAP

Do you want stickers that go on the floor, or a printer that works on the floor itself, like printing to concrete? I have a unit that does the latter.
  15. Businessing is Hard

Been lots of good advice in both this thread and in private, understanding the weak points are helping a ton and I am also talking to other shops where we might be able to help them solve their problems with machines, or engineering (for a nominal fee). I think part of the problem is regional...
  16. Businessing is Hard

The industry standard adhesive dispenser systems use swappable tips for that very reason. Buy hundreds for just a few bucks if you want. If you're selling automation, take the effort to automate. If people want to play flashlight curing games, give them the option to turn it off. If this was a...
  17. Businessing is Hard

For that kind of price, you'd think they would mount a damn UV light on the thing. "Use the included UV flashlight so you can cure the resin when you want." Yeah, last time I tried that BS line on a printer rebuild, I was told to screw off and just fix the lamps. =P Here you go, $70...
  18. Businessing is Hard

Hit a Michael's or Hobby Lobby, lots of nice brass-ish paints to play with.
  19. Businessing is Hard

Lots of CNC background, went to school for automation and controls and went off the damn deep end over the past 24 years. Wanting raised braille (additive) or recessed braille (subtractive)? Looked into using epoxies (printed) or tiny pins for making raised letters as it ends up being super easy...
  20. Businessing is Hard

I think fun and success tend to be almost mutually exclusive, however, I am quite happy overall. Today's dumb project is designing a 2ft x 3ft flatbed with a BOM under $1800. Skipping the vacuum bed and using 6x TX800 heads means the main expense is just the control board. Wanting a flatbed...
