Hi Folks, a friend of mine has a Gerber Fastrack 1300, wanting to put it to use again but has issues with the physical size that the plotter cuts when something is sent to it from Signlab 9. If you send something, anything, say a rectangle at 400mm x 800mm.. it just cuts it at something like A4...

Have you tried Print 1? or, can you roll on the ribbon from a standard edge to the fx cartridge??

Hi Folks, I can't seem to work out the 'search' facility, but I believe there is a thread concerning this lucrative 'reset' switch on the Edge... not FX, earlier ones.. LE?? Anyone ever had any experience finding/using it..and if so could anyone tell me where it is exactly please? Many Thanks...

Can you not tell your customer that some colours cannot be precisely the same? It's certainly doable really otherwise isn't it? Titch

Looks to be OK to do, depending on size & quantity.. here, I'd only have Kelly Green or Lime Green for that circle though.. looks more of an apple green.. which I don't use or have though.. Have you set it up now? Titch

OK, no worries, just let me know if need. The colour Cerise is Print 1's, maybe a bit dark.. could you overprint with other colours maybe.. or.. CMYK? which I am useless at anyway!! Titch

Hi there, yes, have used GAD files too, but sort of into the habit now after so long using Ai files really. I sometimes export as a GAD though.. Titch

Hi there, ah, so I'm not alone then with my trusty Signlab I do find it so easy.. OK too, points noted on Corel suppose it does make sense to persevere with it yes, thanks. I have used Inkscape too yes, but keeps crashing on me.... I will have another go with Corel.. thanks again, Titch

Forgive me folks for being a bit behind the times.. I use Signlab 4.95 EVERY day.. it does all I need it to and has done for almost 20 years. I do my work in Signlab for 99.9% of my work, then export as an early Ai file to put into Omega for the Edge.. I have no real needs to upgrade to anything...

LCD screen is now showing though...so getting somewhere slowly...I just hope after all this, the print head is ok...

Hi Alistair, yes I guess so. Had a few hours on it this afternoon, a bit of progress...starting up but giving "X Axis error" on the screen head not going up and down nor can I send back or forth the vinyl rollers. Can send foil tensioning motor though... Somehow I'm suspecting the print head &...
