If the Epson printer is anything like the mutoh, have the tech put a little silicon grease on the belt. It'll help prolong the life of it. At least it does for my mutoh. I had the same squealing sound.

Finbar, set your Flexi computer to a static IP address. Sounds like it's set to dhcp. Hopefully that will stop you from having to restart your server.

Pull the top cover off and make sure the ink line connections are secure. I've seen this issue before.
