  1. Canon Colorado 1650 Vertical Banding - Canon no solution?

Sorry not sure what you mean on the ship print? It happens in almost all colors, but you can only really see it in deep dark colors like dark greens, blues, etc. This color we're doing happens to be really bad at showing it. BUt its much more apparently in matte mode as opposed to glosss. But...
  2. Canon Colorado 1650 Vertical Banding - Canon no solution?

IF you could print this file that would be awesome in at least showing canon its not the media. In terms of vertical banding its more a gradiented banding as opposed to a hard banding that you would see on horizontal banding. So in terms of seeing that dark light, woudl that not indicate...
  3. Canon Colorado 1650 Vertical Banding - Canon no solution?

So we ran a test and it is much harder to see in gloss mode. Just due to the glare and the fact the color appears much darker in gloss mode the vertical banding is less apparent. Although when it was coming off the printer it did look to be a bit more obvious. But after curing and looking at it...
  4. Canon Colorado 1650 Vertical Banding - Canon no solution?

Hi Victor, really appreciate your thoughts. For medias, we've run this file on the following medias and got the same results on all medias Avery 1105 IJ40C - matte IJ40C - gloss Avery 2611 - 6mil RiteMedia 4mill IJ35c matte In this particular case we've done 99% of our testing in matte mode...
  5. Canon Colorado 1650 Vertical Banding - Canon no solution?

Wondering if anyone else has dealt with Canon and come up with a solution for this problem. Essentially we're getting vertical banding on almost all coated or uncoated medias, and it becomes more apparently on heavy dark colors. Lighter colors you don't really notice. We've tried so many...
  6. New Roll To Roll Printer - Is there finally a "Good in all areas" printer yet?

Haha appreciate the replys guys. Yes I'm super familiar with nearly every printer style, I don't expect there to be a unicorn out there. But with that said over the years manufactuers improve their inksets to address some of the issues, and hoping maybe some of the newer gen printers people have...
  7. New Roll To Roll Printer - Is there finally a "Good in all areas" printer yet?

New Roll to Roll Printer, is there finally a "good in all areas" printer yet? We're looking for something that does the following: 1) Good scratch protection when unlaminated. The Canon Colorado UV is really really good in this area for example. But latex printers for example are okay, but not...

  9. FB500 / FB550 Extension Tables - Anyone have any?

We have an R1000 we want to modify these to fit. I can fab something else up, but these would work well for this application and the current space we have the printer in.
  10. FB500 / FB550 Extension Tables - Anyone have any?

Does anyone have an old FB500 or FB550 extension tables that they no longer use or as part of a decommissioned printer? Currently in Canada, but would pay to have shipped up here.

  13. Anyone have a roll of Grimcos Briteline Cast Matte Lam - OLWC-MAT54? I cleared out N/A

Hrmm, I know Britline is just rebranded from a major manufacturer, but obviously they wouldn't say who makes their line for them. Are you saying its General Formulations then? The thing is this is all part of one big wall, so it has to be exact in terms of sheen / finish etc as these panels are...

  16. Print quality problems with 800W - Any other owners having major issues?

Hahah it could be looking that way. Have you experienced anything similar, or just thoughts based on all the problems you've seen on here?
  17. Print quality problems with 800W - Any other owners having major issues?

LC LM does give you a much better usable print. It gives you better gradients, and greyscale points. I wouldn't suggest dropping down to CMYK. 360 and 570 use completely different inks and heads and print technolgoy compared to the 300 or 500 series latex machines. I have perfect print...
  18. Print quality problems with 800W - Any other owners having major issues?

I haven't bothered running just a CMYK profile to eliminate this. I need the full color gamut available since we're printing wraps on this, so even if that solved the problem, it just creates another almost bigger problem.
  19. Print quality problems with 800W - Any other owners having major issues?

Yep same banding on all medias. Tried every single profile tweak imaginable. Only thing that has actually removed it is going to 8pass UNI print mode which is the equivalent of 16pass, so thats not really a production acceptable print mode.
  20. Print quality problems with 800W - Any other owners having major issues?

Yep I've done this before on our 365 and 360 machines many many times when we had the odd issue with a print head and it seating or being detected by the machine. I haven't tried this option yet but I'll certainly give it a shot and report back to you guys if I note any improvements.
