I was considering Komatex or Komacell but I have read one is for indoors and one if for oudoors and then you have to worry about the material expanding and contracting and if I glue it down will it fall off.
Im working on a design for a store sign and the plan is to print a background with the logo on alupanel and then route the store name out of something thick. What is a good material to route letters out of, Komatex, Komacel? I thought acrylic but I want a thick look.
On a separate note, can...
We always price sign boxes we build buy taking each component such as ballast, lamps, sockets etc taking the cost adding our markup percentage added to each component so lets say we buy a ballast for $50 markup to $80, lamps for $10 markup to $15 and so forth and add all that together with the...
Thanks guys, with now staff here now we are working on being the go to buys for signs with the positive attitude and producing more than they expected, that is working by far but I think I am going to do the chasing bulldozers, like you said the worst they can do is say no but at least they know...
I am slowly taking over more and more responsibilities at the shop and one thing im ready to tackle is to bring in more business. Customers coming in and looking for a sign, thats no problem what im after is going out and getting the business from business's that don't know about us, that want...
We have built signs like this before but always had the poles on the outside, as far as digging the holes we have a company and have a crane to put the sign up. This is the first time we have built one of this style but there is a first time for everything, we have all the equipment we need...

I agree with them being a PITA!!!! We bought an Elliot L60 about 2 years ago and about a year ago I noticed oil dripping onto the windshield and hood and the repair guy says it is a leaky hose but have to drop the bucket and replace a line. Not covered under any warranty as it should be but it...
we offer tailgate wraps for $299 with the design time included. Our designer can knock out the design pretty quick and it usually leads to other work like side graphics. We use Avery 1005EZ with the DOL 1360 laminate. We bring the truck in, take the tailgate off and lay it on the table and...
We use Avery 1005EZ with the DOL1360 lam. I like the film its easy to re position and if installed properly we never had a return. The film gets a bad wrap fro printing and we have had our issue in the past but for the past couple years its been really good.
I get at least one or two phone calls a day with people asking me what it cost to wrap a vehicle and I tell them there is no set price or set square foot price. We know what we must charge (markup) to pay the bills, keep the lights on and pay the wages (because we dont want to work for free)...
I have a Makita HG1100 heat gun and wouldnt use anything else. It heats up quickly and has never failed me but once after repeated drops a small part in the switch came loose so I went online (and this is the best part) i was able to order the part to fix it. If anything on this heat gun...
we went through this last summer (thanks to Duck Dynasty) and everyone kept asking about camo graphics. I started by contacting Realtree, no luck, then looked at camo sheets already printed but being in Canada there weren't any options available to us here except shipping from the states and...
